Now whenever Harvard Medical says something, I tend to listen…

But if you’re still not convinced…

Then I want you to think back to when you were in your early twenties…

And were lucky enough to go out to a fancy steak dinner.

You probably ordered some big, juicy cut of beef, right?

And I bet back then, in your early twenties…

You were able to devour that yummy steak in just a few minutes, weren’t you?

Then, after that delicious, special meal was over…

What’d you do next?

Maybe you went out partying with your friends all night…

Maybe you went home and made love to your significant other until the sun started peeking through the blinds…

Or heck, maybe you went bowling, or to the mini golf course, or for a night swim in the pool…

The point is, no matter what you did after that steak dinner…

You didn’t just feel “fine”…

You felt GREAT…

Like the world was your oyster and you could do ANYTHING.

Now let’s compare all of this to today.

What happens when you go out for a big steak dinner now?

The steak still tastes amazing of course, and you enjoy eating it just as much, if not more than when you were younger…

But by the time you’re finished…

It feels like you’ve been hit by a train.

You’re uncomfortably full…

You feel bloated…or have heartburn…or are gassy…

You probably feel groggy as you drive home…

You get into bed early that night…

It takes you longer than normal fall asleep…

And then you find yourself waking up at 2 am…4 am…6 am…

STILL feeling full, gross, and bloated.

Does any of that sound familiar?

If so, don’t be embarrassed to admit it…

That’s the way it is for virtually all of us as we get older…

And the reason why is because, like I mentioned….

While your body had no trouble digesting meat-based proteins when you’re in your early twenties…

Nowadays, it has a lot of trouble…

When you eat a lot of meat, it just sits there inside your gut, slowly rotting over the course of hours…

And this is what causes all the gas, the bloating, the stomachaches, and the poor sleep we struggle with as we get older.

Because your body struggles to metabolize meat…

Most of the protein and other nutrients that are in the meats you’re eating…

End up getting pushed out of your system the next time you go #2…

And that’s still actually just the start of your issues...

Because when protein goes undigested…

It also creates something called “lipoproteins ”…

And these lipoproteins make your blood become sticky like glue…

Which can lead to a whole host of health concerns…

Including a higher risk of blood clots, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, heart attacks and even strokes…

Things that could potentially rob you of years of your life...

Plus, lipoproteins have been linked to age-related memory decline too.

Scary right?

And here’s the thing…

While I used steak in the example above to help make a point…

It’s the same thing when we talk about chicken, or pork, or fish, or even whey.

The only difference, really, is that we tend to not overeat those other foods as much…

So the indigestion isn’t as extreme…

But it is still present…

And if you’ve been finding yourself feeling increasingly bloated, or sluggish, or unmotivated…

Whether it’s just after meals, or over the course of the entire day…

Then there’s a good chance that your body’s increasing inability to digest protein could be to blame.

In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me at all…

Especially since, while we sort of take protein “for granted” when it comes to our diets…

The truth is, getting enough protein into our bodies is WILDLY important.

Protein is one of only THREE nutrients that are bodies must get on a regular basis (the other two are carbs and fats)…

And it’s basically responsible for every important function inside of you.

In fact, research shows us that when our bodies are properly nourished with the right kind of protein, in the right amounts

Because protein deficiency really is a world-wide health crisis…

Especially as more of the population gets into their 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond.

And what the world’s most respected scientists are now realizing…

Is that when it comes to the most nutrient dense and absorbable protein…

The best option for supplementing your diet isn’t meat or dairy based AT ALL…

Instead, it’s vegetable-based.

Now that might be surprising to you…

Especially since most of us don’t typically think of veggies as being loaded with proteins…

But it actually makes a lot of sense.

The reason why is because not only are there a handful of vegetables that are just as protein-rich as meat…

And this includes that special “garden vegetable” I mentioned at the beginning of the presentation…

But these vegetables are also loaded with fiber and digestive enzymes.

And that’s a really big deal…

Because most meats and whey protein don’t have either of those things…

Which is one of the reasons why they are so hard for your body to process.

With vegetable-based proteins though…

Thanks to that fiber content and the digestive enzymes they contain…

Your body has little to no issues breaking down the protein that’s inside…

Then absorbing it into your hair, skin, nails, muscles, joints, bones, and vital organs…

Which in turn strengthens all of those things…

And if you’re looking for hard proof on what I’m saying…

Consider a brand new study, published in 2019,
in the journal Sports.

The study compared plant-based protein supplements directly against animal-based protein supplements…

And researchers tested how each protein would affect the muscle growth, strength, and stamina of adult athletes….

Over a period of eight weeks.

The researchers divided study participants into two groups…

A “plant protein group” and a “meat protein group”…

(24 grams per serving)

Both groups got the same amount of protein (24 grams per serving)…

And both groups were then put through a grueling, high intensity functional training…

Something that I imagine looked a lot like an episode of my show SAS.

At the end of eight weeks…

The researchers found for both the “plant protein group” and then “meat protein group”…

There were significant improvements in muscle mass, energy, and stamina…

But only the “plant protein group” also reported better digestion and less gas and bloating…

And that makes sense…

Since only plants are filled with digestive enzymes and fibers…

Which means they are a lot easier for the body to digest than meat-based proteinsix.

These findings are further supported by a major 2018.
Study that was published in the journal of Nutrients.

In this randomized study, which included 35 adults between the ages of 18 and 50 years old…

Researchers wanted to test the effects of plant-based protein vs. animal-based proteins in humans.

At the end of the study…

Researchers found that while both groups did see an improvement in energy, feelings of fullness, and weight loss…

The animal-protein group could only achieve these results when they were given additional fiber supplements…

While for the vegetable protein group, no supplementation was needed.

So in other words…

This study proved that vegetable-based proteins are much easier for the body to digest than meat proteins…

Which, given everything you now know, makes a lot of sense.

And then, there’s yet another major study, this one published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition…

Which was randomized and controlled…

Where scientists gathered 100 men and women…

And divided them into two groups:

Group A ate a diet that was heavy in plant and dairy based protein…

Group B ate a diet that was heavy in plant-based protein only, without any dairy.

(Plant and dairy based protein)

(Plant-based protein only, without any dairy)

The scientists then followed both groups over the course of several weeks…

And at the end of the study…

They found that while both groups lost weight…

The Plant Protein group lost an average of between 10 and 15 pounds (without exercise)…

And the Plant Protein group also saw a 20% better improvement in their erratic blood sugar levels…

When compared to the Plant + Dairy group .

So why did the “plant-protein only” group see a better improvement to blood sugar levels?

Well again, it all comes back to digestion…

After you eat, your body produces insulin…

And insulin helps turn food into energy.

Since vegetable-based protein is very easy to digest…

Your body only produces a little bit of insulin...

But because meat and dairy-based proteins become increasingly hard to digest as you get older…

Your body must produce a lot more insulin…

Which in turn, can make blood sugar levels rise.

Of course, nobody wants high blood sugar…

So this is just another reason why it’s so important that you start adding some plant-based proteins to your diet right away...

Which I’m going to show you exactly how to do literally moments from now.

First though, I do want to answer one question that I know you might be asking…

Which is if, based on all of these studies…

Am I telling you that you can’t eat meat anymore…or that you need to become a Vegan or Vegetarian?

The answer is NO, that’s not what I’m saying.

I work out and train like an animal, and I love eating animals too.

Instead, what I’m saying…
